Captains License Requirements

There are two types of US Coast Guard licensing requirements to operate a commercial parasailing vessel; namely the OUPV 6-Pack and Masters license. The OUPV (6-Pack) license, properly termed “Operator of Uninspected Passenger Vessel” (OUPV) and commonly referred to as the “6-Pack", which allows you to operate an uninspected vessel with a maximum of 6 passenger onboard.

A Master License, allows you to operate an inspected vessel and carry more than 6 passengers.
