Welcome to the
PARASAIL SAFETY COUNCIL

More than 3 - 5 million people each year enjoy the sport of parasailing many of them for the first time. The Parasail Safety Council (PSC) is a not-for-profit organization representing the parasailing public; dedicated to effectively raising the safety standards of commercial parasailing with a focus on education, certification and regulation.  One of our core values is ‘risk transparency’ encouraging an open, honest dialogue about parasailing risks and effective risk management.

Over thirty eight million visitors have been educated by the Parasail Safety Council’s website since 1998 about the sport.  You are invited to join the thousands of global subscribers and gain unlimited access to the Safety Council’s database where you’ll find - Industry Publications, Government Correspondence, Parasail Accident Reports, Investigative News Stories, Insurance Coverage and Fraud, Videos, Photo Gallery and Request for Information form for further details on a subject area. Its free.

The Safety Council’s efforts have been rewarded by both the public and government sectors by being considered the only reliable source for unbiased information on the sport of parasailing.

Parasailing Accidents and Complaints continue at an alarming rate in 2011 confirming the Safety Councils warnings that  absent meaningful commercial parasail operating regulations with mandated equipment inspections and safety equipment, serious accidents and deaths will escalate.  Its time for the public to say, “Enough is enough!” to the industry's approach to parasail safety, which  can best be described as a failed policy  of voluntary self-regulation.  At the center of this problem are regulations which rely on recommendations by commercial operators and associations heavily invested in maintaining the status quo, with the consequences and public safety taking a back seat.
