The Parasail Safety Council plans to become more proactive in the parasail industry marketplace.

ORLANDO, FL - Since its introduction in 1998, The Safety Council has championed safety causes in commercial parasailing.

With more than 30 million visitors to its website to date, we have disseminated safety information worldwide, authored operating guidelines and  acted as a clearing house for accident data and facts.

During this time the Safety Council has strived to remain agnostic as to the industry's participants and products.

Following the recent failure of the Florida legislature to pass what would have been historic and effective safety legislation in parasailing, the Safety Council has decided to become proactive in its efforts beyond this  forum.

The Safety Council is developing guidelines whereby it will actively endorse and support parasail operators, manufacturers and equipment which promotes the safe enjoyment of the sport. Once formulated PSC will challenge all commercial parasail interests to meet the challenge of a SAFER SPORT.

THE BOTTOM LINE
"The people who choose not to work with me to achieve public safety within the parasailing industry, I will consider as working against me and will do everything in my power to persuade them to do otherwise."  Mark McCulloh, Safety Council Chairman
