1975 First Recorded Parasail Accident in the USA 1975, While performing aerial acrobatics during intermission at the BIll Muncey Wide World of Sports Miami Invitational Hydroplane races at the Marine Stadium, the parasail boat operator lost control of the boat, sending parasailor Mark McCulloh directly into a crane derrick that was suspending the ABC-TV cameraman. He was not injured and was later interviewed by Frank Gifford.
