1994 NASA models X-38 after Skyrider and Strap Design McCulloh was contacted by engineers from NASA's Dryden Flight Research Center and Scaled Composites to discuss his new riser line assembly being developed for the composite gondola which was eventually incorporated in the X-38 prototype.
