If you're a parasail operator or even a regular visitor to our website, you're no doubt familiar with the origins

of parasailing. 

But for those of you who are just joining us or those of you

who may have missed our past coverage on the subject,  an

updated version was published as a refresher course detailing

briefly the historical milestones form the development of the

parasail canopy in the mid 60’s, to Mark McCulloh’s and what

his numerous innovations symbolizes.  

Also shown are a few of the begining topics covering the

modified parachute canopy which the “parasail’ was derived

from and various uses leading into the incarnations of the

famous launch and recovery system a.k.a. “Winchboat” invented by McCulloh patented in the early 70’s. 

Over the years, other manufacturers introduced new and improved models based on McCulloh’s original

launch and retrieval concept that played an instrumental role in helping launch the Winchboat phenomenon

into the global commercial parasailing market and still one of the most recognizable brands in existence.
