1998 McCulloh builds UL Certified Sportboat for Disney 1998, and prior to the expiration of McCulloh's four year parasail concession contract with Walt Disney World. Disney contracted McCulloh to design and develop a two passenger sport boat to replace Disney's aging fleet of 200 Sportboats. At the time, Brunswick was unwilling to renew their contract and supply new Sportboats. The plan (under the guidance of Disney's management) was for McCulloh to design and build a UL rated working prototype along with a production contract if Brunswick refused to commit. McCullohs design team successfully built a two passenger (gas and electric) version Sportboat that was issued a UL rating by (underwriters laboratory). previous next
